The beaches are a short ride off: Marina Bay Beach is 2.1 km away and Bai Chay Beach 3.1 km, so a swim is a short outing rather than a day's trip. Both are close to a taxi, which is the simplest way to cover the distance with luggage.

For a morning out, the Cái Dăm Market is 1.5 km away and the Đình Chùa Tiêu Dao pagoda 2 km, both close enough for a walk or a short taxi ride. The Ga Đại Dương cable car station is 3.5 km away and Sunworld, the theme park, 3.8 km, so the longer stretches are best covered by taxi. Together these make a full half-day on the Bai Chay side, combining the market, the pagoda, the cable car and the park with the beach.
